Accessible easy access shower installation case study | Harrogate | More Ability

Published: 10 March 2023

Problem

An existing shower room that consisted of a level access shower, basin, WC, and accessible bathroom features had become dated and as a result the client Mrs. Bulmer wanted to explore her options for a more stylish and accessible design.

Solution

Searching for a trustworthy company that could deliver her a more modern bathing solution, she came across More Ability after seeing us advertised in On Your Doorstep Magazine. Delighted with our full design and fit service combined with our vast experience in bathroom solutions, she booked a free design appointment.

Visited by Senior Designer Andy. They both sat down, and Mrs. Bulmer explained to Andy that the existing design had become tired, however in principle, she wanted to retain the shower concept.

Mrs. Bulmer was also keen for Andy to share his views on the best shower solution given his extensive industry knowledge and design experience. Andy proposed an Accessible Easy Access Shower solution, with various accessible bathroom design features, which would ensure safety, comfort, and retention of bathing independence.

Delighted with Andy’s design proposal, Mrs. Bulmer was provided with a provisional quote for the work and invited for a second appointment at our Harrogate Bathroom Showroom where she was presented with detailed CAD visuals of the proposed design.

At the appointment, Andy also helped Mrs. Bulmer around the showroom to pick her accessible bathroom design features. Happy with her choices, CAD visuals, and how the project was coming together, she was excited and proceeded to place an order with us.

Grey wall boarding was fit instead of tiling as they’re easy to clean and maintain. To conclude the bathroom refurbishment anti-slip vinyl flooring was fit across the entire shower room.
