Accessible Wet Floor Shower Case Study | Leeds | More Ability

Published: 18 May 2022

Problem

Mr. & Mrs. Smith’s existing En-suite shower room needed adapting to become more accessible along with a few design changes.

Their existing shower room consisted of a raised shower tray which was too high for access, a basin and toilet. They wanted to transform their shower room into an accessible wet room.

Design Solution

In pursuit of finding a safe and comfortable solution for their shower. Mr. & Mrs. Smith contacted More Ability to gather more information and ideas for their En suite shower room revamp.

They booked a free design appointment, for a Senior Designer to visit their home, survey their shower room, discuss their ideas and provide expert advice.

Visited by our Senior Designer Nigel, Mr. & Mrs. Smith discussed their requirements and options for a new wet room and went through small design changes.

With all their needs and ideas taken into consideration and expert opinions provided by Nigel, Mr. & Mrs. Smith were happy to carry on with the process.

Nigel then provided them with a provisional quote depending on final fixtures and choices.

Nigel then invited them to the Leeds Bathroom showroom and presented them with the CAD design, helping them see what their new wet room En-suite shower would look like in detailed images.

Accessible Wet Room Installation

A beautiful, accessible wet room shower with a glass panel door was installed in the En-suite room by our Multi- skilled fitter Graham.

Accessible wallboards were installed inside the shower as they are minimal maintenance and matched the beige tiling.

Anti-slip vinyl flooring was installed as Mr. & Mrs. Smith requested for extra safety. The floor also matched the consistent warm beige colour scheme throughout the room.

Mr. & Mrs. Smith kept the basin, toilet, and storage as it was still intact and modern in design.

Outcome

A modern En-suite shower room was transformed into a spacious wet room with additional safety features.

What Mr & Mrs Smith said about more ability:
