Mrs Wardle’s small 3-piece shower room consisted of a walk-in shower, basin and WC. Wanting a design update, and a level access showering solution to assist with mobility, Mrs Wardle hoped to install an accessible wet floor shower.
Upon contacting us via the phone to book a design appointment Mrs Wardle was visited by More Ability Senior Designer Garry. Visiting the property to survey the existing shower room, discuss potential accessible wet floor shower solutions alongside Mrs Wardle’s design wants and mobility needs, Garry was able to provide a provisional quote subject to final choices.
With Mrs Wardle happy with the information gathered and wanting to go ahead, Garry used his accessible bathroom knowledge and expertise to create a spacious accessible wet floor shower design with savvy storge solutions.
Garry then invited Mrs Wardle to our Harrogate bathroom showroom to present a detail CAD design allowing her to visualise her new shower room and assisted her with choosing her final fixtures and fittings.
A modern and spacious accessible wet floor shower with glass flipper screen and bespoke Corian bench was installed by Multi Skilled Fitter Stephen. Allowing Mrs Wardle to use the shower without having to step over a small tray alongside the option to rest her legs whilst bathing.
Accessible sanitary ware included the installation of a semi recessed basin and raised height WC in a run of fitted furniture which allowed Mrs Wardle to use the toilet at a more comfortable height. Modern wall and floor coverings included low maintenance marble effect accessible wall boards and grey anti-slip vinyl flooring.
Trendy finishing touches included a chrome heated towel rail allowing Mrs Wardle to heat her towel whilst showering alongside a chrome hand towel ring.
A small, dated walk in shower room was transformed into a safe and spacious accessible wet floor shower room with modern fixtures and fittings.
An excellent job all round - I am very pleased with the end result. It was a pleasure to have Steve in my home - he was always cheerful and helpful. Well done!
