Mobility Wet Room Case Study | Leeds | West Yorkshire

Bathing Problem:

Mr & Mrs Spearing had a dark and dated four piece bathroom suite that consisted of a bath, basin, WC and small square shower enclosure with fold down seat. No longer able to use the bath due to problems with mobility and with the shower being increasingly difficult to use due to the high step in and available showering space a decision was made to contact More Ability with a view to converting the existing bathroom into a more accessible and mobility friendly solution.

Bathing Solution:

Having met Senior Designer, Andy, in the Leeds Showroom, both Mr & Mrs Spearing had a good idea of what solutions would work best for them and their needs. Deciding they wanted to incorporate a mobility wet room into the existing space the awkward layout is what required a site survey design appointment in order for Andy to determine how and where to best install the new fixtures and fittings.

With deterioration being a cause for concern and wheelchair access showering becoming a possibility in the future Andy proposed converting the existing space into a fully fledge mobility wet room which would lend itself to all eventualities.

Installation Outcome:

A dark and dated bathroom was transformed into a mobility wet room that maximised the use of space, making the overall layout safer and easier to navigate. Featuring a raised height WC and pedestal basin the entire room was covered in anti-slip vinyl and wall boards for an easy to clean, maintenance free finish. With no shower screen or curtain the entire room could be used for showering and catered for walk-in or wheel-in access.
