Accessible Wet Floor Shower Case Study | Sheffield | South Yorkshire

Published: 10 August 2018

Bathing Problem:

Mr & Mrs Brown had an existing, 1970’s styled, ivory coloured bathroom suite that consisted of a bath, shower, basin and WC.

Fully tiled in a classic marble the existing suite was outdated in terms of design however the core reason for the renovation works was to create an easily accessible bathroom solution.

At the forefront of the initial enquiry was the couple’s sons who were keen to vet all potential contractors, ensuring there parent’s welfare and safety was being well looked after.

Bathing Solution:

With a make shift wet shower area already in situ, as a result of the bath becoming increasingly difficult to manage, it was evident for all involved, including More Ability Surveyor & Designer, Garry, that an accessible shower solution was required.

Having spent a while ‘making do’ with the shower they had, the couple were aware what they wanted the renovation to achieve however we’re equally open to design ideas. Showing the couple examples of previously installed wet floor showers that Garry had designed, they were over the moon with the stylish and accessible concept and decided to roll with it.

Installation Outcome:

Merging an aesthetical bathroom design while meeting all the users’ needs delivered a stylish and accessible wet floor shower solution. Featuring a comfort height WC, wet floor shower with corian bench, pedestal basin and neutral wall boards with complimentary non-slip vinyl, the clean and tidy design provided the ultimate safe, stylish and accessible shower solution.

What mr & mrs brown said about more ability:

“Sam who carried out the work is an exceptional professional, outstanding in both customer care and performance - would very highly recommend.”
