Mobility Wet Room Case Study | Leeds | West Yorkshire

Published: 4 November 2019

Bathing Problem:

Mr & Mrs Sugden had a matching 3-piece peach suite which dated back to the 80’s. Fully tiled inclusive of a decorative board, the existing bathroom featured a small square shower enclosure, bath and pedestal basin.

Due to present mobility requirements the bath was no longer used and as such both Mr & Mrs Sugden wanted to explore their options with regards to turning it into an easy access mobility shower room.

Bathing Solution:

Having visited our Leeds Mobility Bathroom Showroom in the first instance both Mr & Mrs Sugden had a good idea of what shower solutions could be installed to solve their bathing problems, whether a mobility level access shower or mobility wet room.

Having met Senior Designer, Andy, in the Showroom, they were impressed with his product knowledge and invited him out to survey their existing space to determine which option would work best for them, their available space and bathing requirements.

Installation Outcome:

Wanting to future proof the works Andy proposed a completely new layout design which incorporated a mobility wet room to be concealed behind a stylish glass screen.

Making the best use of the available space the new shower was to be installed where the bath once was, with the new vanity basin unit moving further up the wall to replace the existing shower enclosure.

Creating ample space for turning and maneuvering the new mobility wet room was fully tiled in a modern grey tile and the floor covered in a complimentary coloured anti-slip vinyl for added safety and peace of mind.

What Mr & Mrs Sugden said about More Ability:

“Very happy with project. We were kept informed every step of way.

The fitter Steve, was very good. He worked round our needs and advised us when needed to turn off the electric and water. Any inconvenience was kept inconveniences to a minimum.”
