Mobility Wet Room Case Study | Harrogate | North Yorkshire

Problem:

Mr & Mrs Bilbija’s dated 3 piece shower room consisted of an enclosed shower, basin & WC.

Wanting to install an accessible shower solution for their autistic son to comfortably use without taking away from the design Mr & Mrs Bilbija hoped to install a bespoke mobility wet room.

Design Solution:

Upon visiting our Harrogate disabled bathroom showroom to find information on mobility bathrooms Mrs Bilbija was greeted by Senior Designer Garry who discussed with her the variety of bathing solutions available that incorporate both safety and style.

Happy with the information gathered, Mrs Bilbija booked a free design appointment for Garry to visit their home to survey their bathroom, further discuss bathroom wants and needs, create a preliminary design and a provisional quote dependant to final fixtures and fittings choices.

Happy to go ahead, Garry invited Mrs Bilbija back to our Harrogate showroom to present her with a visual CAD design helping her to envision the new look of their bespoke mobility wet room. Gary also assisted Mrs Bilbija with choosing final fixtures and fittings.

Mobility Wet Room Installation:

A stunning Wet Room with built in Corian bench allowing Mr & Mrs Bilbija’s son to comfortably rest his legs whilst bathing was installed by Multi-Skilled fitter Richard.

The accessible bathroom design also included installation of a modern wave chrome grab bar providing mobility support and an accessible shower alcove to store bathroom essentials within arm’s reach within the shower area.

Accessible sanitary ware included the installation of a space saving back to wall WC with soft close seat helping to avoid any trapped fingers alongside a recessed basin.

Stunning dark large ceramic tiling with a gloss finish was combined with dark grey anti slip vinyl flooring creating a contemporary finish. A modern black towel rail was also installed allowing the family to warm their towels whilst bathing.

Outcome:

A dated shower room was transformed into a stunning spacious mobility wet room with contemporary fixtures and fittings and additional safety features.
