Mobility Wet Room Case Study | Leeds | West Yorkshire

Problem:

Mrs McHale had made a decision a number of years previous to contacting us that, in order to bathe safely and independently within the comforts of her own home, she needed to carry out some drastic adaptation changes in the form of converting an existing bathroom into an easily accessible wet floor shower.

Although the adaptation was done 6 years prior to her enquiry with us the system, concept and general installation of the so called solution by the previous contractor had failed her and her requirements quite considerably.

Solution:

It was not until the site survey that the severity of the existing solution truly came to light. Not only was the solution totally inadequate for Mrs McHale’s personal wants, needs and requirements the wet floor leaked that badly that the floor joists had disintegrated to the point of near collapsing which could have had unimaginable consequences.

At this point it became clear to Surveyor & Designer, Garry that the issue moving forward would not be finding a suitable solution, as the concept of a wet floor shower overcame all present & future bathing problems, but lie with assuring Mrs McHale of the quality of workmanship, level of service, experience, professionalism and confidence in our ability as a company to do a ‘proper’ job.

Outcome:

What started as an anxious project as a result of previous experiences slowly turned into excitement as the transformation of the wet floor shower progressed. Filled with confidence and reassurance the newly designed, safe & practical, wet floor shower solution was stylish, functional and oozed modern sophistication.

Consisting of a vanity basin unit, wash & dry WC and Bluetooth audio cabinet mirror the fully tiled wet floor shower with slip resistant vinyl to the floor certainly went the extra mile.
