Easy access bath installation case study | Leeds | More Ability

Published: 14 February 2023

Problem

Mrs.Brophy had an existing downstairs wet room specially made for her daughter. The wet room had been fit over 15 years ago. They wanted to make some changes as they wanted a bath and began to explore their options to find a suitable bathing solution.

Solution

They were aware of More Ability following a recommendation and already understood the benefits of our full design and fit service. Confident we could meet their needs and requirements; they booked a free design appointment.

Experienced Technical Designer Nigel, visited the family to discuss the challenges they faced with the current design and explore potential ideas.

They explained to Nigel that they wanted a bath with a seat with a view to future-proofing the new design while retaining independence. An over-bath shower was suggested as part of the installation, along with a wash and dry toilet, and replacement of safety flooring.

Besides their ideas, they were also open to ideas and suggestions from Nigel given his experience and technical knowledge within bathroom design and installation.

Aligning their ideas, Nigel proposed an easy access bath design with an over bath and a few stylish accessible bathroom design features to retain an aesthetic look and ensure safety.

Agreeing with Nigel’s suggestions of a future-proofed easy access bath design, and its additional accessible bath features, Nigel invited them for a second appointment at our Leeds Bathroom Showroom.

During the second appointment, Nigel presented Mrs. Brophy and her daughter with CAD visuals to help them visualise the planned bathroom design, while assisting them with their choice of accessible bathroom design features. Pleased with the images and bath options they had picked, they proceeded to place an order with us.

Easy Access Bath Installation

Mrs. Brophy’s existing wet room was taken out and transformed into an easy-access bathroom design, fit by our multi–skilled fitter Ben.

Delivering our full design and fit service the new design consisted of a stunning white P – shaped easy access walk-in bath with a built-in seat, which provided them with a comfortable bathing solution.

To match the bath, white slip-resistant tiles were fit around the bathroom walls and, a new wash and dry toilet, along with a vanity basin were installed. Anti-slip vinyl flooring was fit across the floor ensuring the user’s safety when using the bathroom space.

Outcome

An existing downstairs wet room was taken out and converted into a stunning easy access bath fit with accessible bathroom features.
