Last week Tony Passmore & Dave White (Passmore’s council & adaptations surveyor) hosted a presentation and talk to a number of Occupational Therapists from Leeds City Council on “The do’s, the don’ts and the what to look out for’s” with regards to the installation of wet floor showers and wet rooms.
The morning event was held at the William Merritt Disabled & Independent Living Centre in Leeds and run alongside AKW who displayed some of their products.
Tony gave the OT’s a view of the installation of wet floor showers from the installer’s point of view, as well as tips on the most common reasons for failure and was accompanied with technical surveyor Dave White. The event was well received and the OT’s commented that they found the seminar very useful.
Below is an image we sneakily got of Tony in action.

what our customers say
Thank you for a first rate service and for sending Craig to do the job for us - he was pleasant, hardworking & helpful.
Craig has done an excellent job fitting out walk in shower which was much needed because of my husbands illness which is already benefiting us by making both of our lives much easier. We are so pleased with the finished results.
Could I say a big, BIG thanks to Craig for doing my bathroom out. How great I feel to have a new bathroom. And Garry I have been in the bathroom while listening to my bucks fizz. And I like you're shop it's great and everybody has been great.
Excellent work from start to finish.
Just had our wet room done, its absolutely amazing with 5 star treatment from start to finish!
A big thank you to Paul Tarbard the Surveyor, and Paul Thorley our Fitter who has transformed my wet room all on his own. I can't praise him enough he is a great guy, and what a worker never stopped, cleared everything away each night before he left would highly recommend this company, carpets all protected while work was under going very professional company.
I just wanted to say thank you and let you know how lovely your installer Sam has been with my mum Dorothy. Due to having Alzheimers I was really concerned about leaving her alone with Sam as she often tries to get people to do jobs they aren't there to do or tries to give them sometimes quite large sums of money.
Unfortunately though I had to work on Monday when Sam was there working so I rang my mum in the morning to tell her he would be there and to let him in and not to give him any money as I was paying him. I had given Sam my number in case he had any problems and he called me later on Monday afternoon to say he had finished what he could do and needed to leave the cement to dry so would finish the grouting on Thursday.
He then said my mum had been chatting to him and he had said he had a couple of little boys so my mum was trying to give him some money for them. He said he felt really uncomfortable with it but didn't quite know what to do as she was being really insistent. I told him to take them money and thank her as this would make her happy and stop her pestering him and he could then leave the money in a safe place and I would pick it up and put it back in her purse later.
I went around to see her today and Sam had left the money where he said he would. I have left him a note thanking him but I also wanted you to know how trustworthy and kind your staff are, though I'm sure you already knew that.
There are so many stories around about elderly vulnerable people being taken advantage of so you just don't know who to trust anymore. After our experience with Sam we will certainly be recommending you to anyone in the area who has a vulnerable adult who requires work carrying out by someone they can trust.
