Mobility Wet Room Case Study | Leeds | West Yorkshire

Published: 5 October 2015

Problem:

Previously Mr & Mrs Gatehouse had converted there bathroom to a shower room as both had started to struggle getting in and out of the bath. Only a handful of years later and this solution was no longer adequate as they were both becoming increasingly unstable on their feet and could no longer manage the small step in to the low level shower tray, once again making this task unsafe.

Solution:

The original works had not taken into consideration any future proofing of the shower room and assessment of Mr & Mrs Gatehouse’s wants and needs – something we had to address to ensure they wouldn’t be repeating this process for a third time.

Outcome:

Having discussed both Mr & Mrs Gatehouse’s preferences, concerns, wants and needs MoreAbility surveyor & designer, Paul Liddle, designed a shower room solution that would really stand the test of time. The new wet floor shower featured similar sanitary ware, basin & storage fixtures, to the original shower room at the request of the couple, but also a shower area that was stylish & accessible providing them with a safe and practical solution.

what mr & mrs gatehouse said about more ability:

“Many thanks for an excellent job, especially by your fitter; Andy. We will certainly be recommending your company to our friends and family.”
